CONTEXT

To start the BA Art and Design course, we were given 'A Field Guide' which contains a selection of proposals as a starting point for projects. In the Context section of the Field Guide, I chose the following:

"'A small print on a mailbox becomes something really precious when you remove all the noise around it and isolate it from it's setting.' Explore familiar or alien surroundings by isolating, documenting and displaying anything you think will create a new awareness of the landscape."

I went out into Bourneville and noticed the contrast between the 'OPEN' signs and the warning tape at the entrance of Cadbury World and the swimming baths. I decided to use this feeling of crowd control and bureaucracy to see how I could affect people around me by taping around items.
